Know which actions remain in the page, which create a local copy and how browser storage differs from sending a message.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small values stored by a browser and associated with a website. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage. They can serve different purposes, including necessary preferences, security, measurement or advertising. Non-essential storage should not be used without any consent required by applicable law.

What the editorial tools use

The supplied editorial pages and demonstration script do not set analytics or advertising cookies, use tracking pixels, or write worksheet fields to localStorage or sessionStorage. The menu state, chart selection and timeline filter are held temporarily in the current page. The site does not need cross-site tracking to provide these functions.

Browser and delivery behavior

Your browser may cache page resources, offer form autofill or restore a previous tab. These are browser features, not a promise that the worksheet saves a draft. Hosting or security infrastructure may process technical requests as described in Privacy. External websites linked from the atlas apply their own cookie and privacy policies when you visit them.

Managing your choices

Use your browser's site settings to inspect and clear cookies and website data. Clearing stored data may remove preferences set by a consent service if one is present. You can also disable or restrict cookies through your browser, although this may affect other websites. Browser-specific help is available from your browser provider.

To remove a downloaded worksheet, delete the text file and any copies you created. To remove copied text, use your device's clipboard controls and review any clipboard synchronization settings. Clearing website cookies does not necessarily remove downloaded files, email drafts or clipboard history.

Changes and questions

If storage-dependent features are introduced, their purposes and relevant controls should be explained before use. This page describes the editorial functions supplied with this website. For a question about browser behavior or information handling, contact [email protected].
